Since 2002, Impinj has driven key RAIN RFID industry innovations, connected more than 160 billion everyday items, and delivered real-time, business-critical manufacturing, transportation and sale data about those items to enterprise applications. Today, as enterprises embrace AI systems to automate and optimize their operations, the item data we provide is becoming ever more critical to enterprise decision-making and business outcomes. We are, quite literally, the eyes and ears of smart enterprise systems.

To reflect our key position in enterprise automation, today we are launching a new vision for the Impinj platform – and a new logo – focused on how we deliver Physical Intelligence to enterprises. Impinj Physical Intelligence is the real-time item data that links the physical and AI-powered digital worlds, making enterprise workflows smarter and delighting customers. The products and solutions that comprise our platform, and the Physical Intelligence we deliver about an enterprise’s items, help those enterprises visualize everything, waste nothing and act instantly.

The Impinj Platform solves problems that are easy to understand but challenging to address. Enterprises rely on AI to optimize countless elements of their businesses, but AI can’t optimize what it can’t see. AI doesn’t know if a product was stolen, a package never made it onto a truck, or a perishable food item is approaching expiration. Without hard, trusted data, AI models are just guessing. Or they are synthesizing virtual data on which to make their decisions, which is also just guessing. Building a business on guesswork is a recipe for disaster.

In addition to our RAIN RFID products, solutions and partner ecosystem, our platform also includes Gen2X to improve item visibility while protecting item and consumer data, and advanced machine-learning techniques to localize and track items.
